CHOLESTEROL IS NOT THE ENEMY

We have been sharing this idea for years with anyone willing to consider it. Consider for a moment the conflict of interest built into the health care system which is mainly educated and supported by the pharmaceutical industry. We ARE NOT saying that there is no good in it, but we are saying that we all need to be wise consumers and not let corporate interests do our thinking for us. Take ten minutes to listen to this. It makes a lot of sense physiologically, according to real science without a conflict of interest.

Thank you to Dr. Mark Hyman for his report on this issue:

Is There Anything Wrong With Clicking My Own Neck?

Is There Anything Wrong With Clicking My Own Neck?

Do you or someone you know self-manipulate (crack, pop, click, "adjust") your/their own neck? If so, this is very valuable information. Please pass it on to someone you care about that self-manipulates. There have been people who have even torn the vertebral artery in their neck by doing this. That will lead to a stroke. Professionally performed adjustments do not carry this danger.

Whiplash in Car Accidents

Good to know stuff about whiplash! Pay special attention to the last panel and use your magnifier if needed. I especially liked the tip about leaving a safe following distance. Make a note right now to adjust your headrest to create a minimum distance between it and your head.

If you were in an accident, see a chiropractor experienced in treatment of auto accident injuries as soon as possible. Do not wait until the pain subsides. You will be treated thoughtfully regarding your delicate and freshly injured state! Waiting until later allows pain patterns to become more established and more difficult to resolve.
Drs. Levin and Chellen are experienced auto accident injury chiropractors. We specialize in treating soft tissue injuries. These may include whiplash, shoulder pain, clavicle pain (collar bone), side and rib pain, low back pain, hip, knee, and ankle pain.

Why Does Mainstream Medicine Ignore The Placebo Effect?

Bruce Lipton, Ph.D. Delves Into The Phenomenon Of Our Mind Power

This is WAY more important of a concept than many realize. There is an amazing amount of healing being experienced and shared which has little to do with drugs, surgery, and even therapies.
I also submit the idea of the "toxebo" effect. If you believe something will harm you, it will. Don't be cavalier about this, but respect the power of your mind and the fear-based paradigm we unconsciously adopt. Choose to be positive and lovingly invulnerable to "hurtful", "evil", and "bad".

7 Strategies to Eliminate Eczema

7 Strategies to Eliminate Eczema

Eczema is just one expression of rampant inflammation. For some people, the skin is going to tell you it's there. For others, allergies, joint and muscle pain, asthma, frequent illness, bowel discomfort, insomnia, etc. Some may have more than one. Be patient, be reasonable and take one strategy at a time. Making inner peace a priority may help in tackling our addiction to the factors which are driving the chemical imbalances which are driving the inflammation.

Here is Dr. Mark Hyman  explaining his 7 Strategies to Eliminate Eczema: Eczema

Nasal Irrigation (AKA using a Neti pot) for Allergy Relief, etc.

I became a firm believer in nasal irrigation around 20 years ago per a recommendation for squelching my own sinus and allergy problems. Several years ago I gave a demonstration of the use of a neti pot to my yoga classmates.  A classmate told me, "After your demonstration, I tried it and it changed my life!  I used to suffer from allergies and have not ever since".

Recently, a yoga classmate suggested it was time to do another demo for the newer members of the class who may not yet have heard, or been convinced, of the wonders of neti for allergy and sinus problem relief.  Thus, my presentation of this post.

Here is an article from WebMD website.  Hopefully, being associated with a "MD", it will be given serious consideration by sinus and allergy sufferers.  This is not Eastern witchcraft folks.  It is basic physiology.  Cleanse your sinuses and keep them healthy and irritant free and they will be healthier and less reactive to pollens and allergens and other irritants.  Simple.

"Nasal Saline Irrigation and Neti Pots":http://www.webmd.com/allergies/sinus-pain-pressure-11/neti-pots

The article does not mention that you should always use kosher (non-iodized) salt (1/2 teaspoon per cup of water).  USE NON-IODIZED salt! It will not sting like iodized salt can.  Do not use sea salt!  It is full of other stuff you do not want in your sinuses.

Your water should not be tap water due to chlorine content; use distilled, bottled, well-filtered, or boiled water.  Body or bath temperature water is recommended.  When your sinuses are really inflamed this may be too warm and a cooler water temp would be better to calm and de-flame your sinus tissues.

Rather than let your nose drain, and possibly splash, over the sink area, consider having a catch basin like an old food container to catch the used water as it exits.

Sometimes I am so plugged up in my sinuses I can not get any water to flow through my sinuses and I have to lay on my back for a few minutes and wait for a clearing to occur, then I rise and attempt it again.

Be sure to keep your neti pot clean and dry between uses.  You should check for residue and mold with a peek inside the pot before each use.

Next, here is a video demonstration so you can see it being done.  VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDSlUuAOnN0

See?  The person is NOT drowning.  Neither will you.  Do not inhale or you will feel like you are drowning.

Good luck and better breathing!
